meet the kirigmi-honeycomb!

this special folding technique allows me to play with the length, width, surface and depth of a flat compartment. this technique can be found in spaceships, i hope to be able to inspire people with everything else that is possible with this origami shape.

it's a party for me to work with this technique and to incorporate my ideas into it.

in most of my experiments and works I have used a combination of foam board and paper.

foam board is an easy and fine material to first cut and then fold. paper is a quickly graspable material that has all the possibilities in terms of color and shape.
